Debugging Pathway

Debugging is simple if you know how to isolate the problem...
Below are steps you can take to pinpoint the source of your problems.

Assumptions:

Your host machine's IP is 192.168.1.1
All the required software components are installed, but not neccessarily configured correctly.

Network Connection to the Host (machine where Deki is installed)

Open a commandline console and type:

ping [IP address or name of host] e.g. Ping 192.168.1.1
If it replies with "Request timed out" instead of "Reply from 192.168.1.1" you must check your network connection

Apache tests

Open a browser and type //192.168.1.1/

MySQL tests

Windows:

Linux:

PHP tests

Dekihost tests

Open a browser and type http://192.168.1.1:8081/deki/@about. It should display a page like this:
