Content Creation

  • Robust rich text (WYSIWYG) editor: An editing experience similar to what you would expect from modern word processor applications.
  • Full screen editing: With a single click you can remove all application chrome leaving you with only the editor. This removes any unnecessary visual noise.
  • Undo and redo buttons: With both toolbar buttons and the standard hot keys you can undo and redo changes within the editor.
  • One click list creation: The editor toolbar provides many one click formatting and styling options. Lists is one of them.
  • Easily create tables: The editor provides an intuitive wizard for creating and editing tables.
  • Import Microsoft Office content elegantly: The editor handles copy/pasting elegantly from Microsoft Office applications. It's not 100% accurate in conversion, but it's better than any other web-based word processor available today.
  • One click page creation: Users can create a page in a single-click on New sub-page.
  • Link pages with intuitive page link dialog: There are many way to link pages and files. MindTouch is the only offering that provides a sophisticated and easy to use dialog for linking.
  • Sophisticated embed image dialog: Insert images into the page contents using a familiar dialog box that allows you to browse for the image and change the alignment, word wrap, and size.
  • Page templates: Easily define and reuse your own page templates for common tasks and content.
  • Multi-page hierarchical templates: A single page template often is not enough. Only with MindTouch can users can define multiple page hierarchically structured templates. This saves time and ensures consistency.

Content Management

Attachments

  • File and image attachments: Users can attach any file or image to any page. The attachments are shown at the bottom of the page in a special attachment section.

  • Attachment meta-descriptions: Easily add a description to files or images that are attached.
  • Attachment history: Attachments, the date of attachment, and the contributor are logged in all distinct audit logs.
  • Attachment links update: When a new version of a file is attached, the links that point to that file always point to the most recent version of the file.
  • Attachment meta-information: All attachments maintain information about themselves; such as size, contributor, and date.
  • Attached files are indexed for searching: Currently HTML, DOC, PDF, TXT and more are added every release.

Versioning and Reversion

  • Page versioning: Every page retains a complete history of changes.
  • File versioning: Every file attached is automatically versioned as new versions are attached.
  • Page and file change details: Every version, whether that of a page or file, retains detailed information of when and by whom the file or page was changed or attached.
  • In-line comparison of page versions: Page versions can be compared for changes.
  • One-click page reversions: After comparing two versions of a page, a user can revert to the oldest version in one-click.
  • Page edit auto-generated summaries: Summaries of page changes are automatically logged in the page history when possible, such as if a page is reverted.

  • Advanced application control panel: Provides an easy to understand web based interface for managing site wide settings.
  • Configurable network settings: Restart network interfaces and modify settings by using an intuitive web based interface.
  • Site administration: Quickly and easily manage multiple users and users' status. Search for users, deactivate users, reset passwords and more.
