How do I...Add a link to a file share?

To link to mapped network drives and Uniform Naming Convention (UNC) paths:

1.  Open your page for editing.

2.  Type the link title, select it, and click Insert/modify link.

3.  In the Search tab, type your link in the form file:///<host>/<path>.   Examples:

• To link to the mapped network drive path z:\test test\test.txt, enter file:///z:/test test/test.txt.
• To link to the UNC Windows file path \\deki-hayes\drive\test test\test.txt, enter file://///deki-hayes/drive/test test/test.txt.

NOTE:  For security purposes, Firefox blocks file share links by default.  Refer here for more information.
