Google calendar offers embed option via iframes. No need to install extension for that. Here it is from Gooogle settings page "Embed This Calendar Embed this calendar in your website or blog by pasting this code into your web page. To embed multiple calendars, click the Customise Link". I have tested it with my private Google calendar and it works fine. You will have to change the URL to your private one though.
