Before attempting to debug/install Deki Wiki, consider whether a VM installation is not a better option. Roughly ?? % of all running installations are VM installations.

Hardware Requirements About 20% less hardware intensive  Consider the fact that most servers' resources are very much under-utilised. Also that a relatively cheap Pentium 4 with 512MB Ram running Linux, will have ample power as a dedicated Deki Wiki host.
Software costs Free, except if you choose Windows instead of Linux.
VMware player/server is free for Windows and Linux.  VMware Fusion is not-free for OS X.
