Generally not.  The common reason why Deki Wiki can't be installed on shared hosting is because typical shared hosting doesn't have the requirements needed to install Deki Wiki, mainly being Mono on Linux, or PHP/MySQL on Windows.  The alternative to this is to install Deki Wiki on a VPS or on a Dedicated Server, or you can signup for MindTouch's hosted Deki Wiki service at Wik.is

This requirement is shutting Deki Wiki out of a major market. As wikis become more popular, the biggest growth segment will be among smaller businesses and entrepreneurs. Many of these will use shared hosting environments because 1) they're cheaper, 2) they have a lower admin burden, and 3) many of them offer robust pre-installed CMS and business software. However, few shared hosting options offer pre-installed wikis and small businesses that want to implement CRM via wikis (will) need and look for an easy-to-manage WYSIWYG wiki solution.
